Maria Magdolna Nemeth

Maria Magdola Nemeth was born in Kispest Hungary outside of Budapest on April 8, 1929.
She was predeceased by her parents at a very young age, her husband Imre in 2009, her daughter,
Katherine in 2022, her grandson Andrew 2016.
Surviving her are her son Emery and wife Hara, grand-daughter Lauren Rubin her husband Brian
and great grand son Asher.
She had a full and loving life just shy of 94 years. Turmoil and strife engulf her early years,
having lost both parents and WWII crossing her town of Papa twice over. Enduring to the end of the war
she met and married Imre in 1947. Their family grew with the birth of Katherine (1948) and Emery (1955).
Again their lives were upended with the invasion of Hungary by the Russians in 1956. The small family
emigrated to NYC where they embraced the American dream; a house, a business an education for their children.
Her enduring passion was her grandchildren Andrew and Lauren - "EAT" she would say ("EGJAL"),
Maria was an excellent cook and baker. Her great grandson Asher always brought the biggest smile to her face,
she loved getting pictures and videos of him growing up. Her hobby was the garden that never had a stray leaf
or twig, keeping her home immaculate inside and out.
She will be missed by her family and friends.
