I will always remember Erin as a beautiful little girl with her bouncy red curls and a buoyant personality to match. She grew up across the street from me and became friends with my daughter Sophie. I was friendly with her mother Florence. We would sit on my stoop and watch these two energetic girls play.
My most vivid memory of Erin was when the four of us had lunch at a local diner. Erin and Sophie were bored and they started playing with their food. They were having so much fun being naughty that Florence and I had to hold back our own laughter.
It broke my heart when I heard from Sophie about Erin´s trag My heart goes out to her precious children who who will grow up without a mother.
