Maria Eusebia Pena

On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Maria Eusebia Peña peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family.

Maria Eusebia Peña was born on June 21, 1941, and joined our Good Lord in heaven on January 21, 2026. She was 84 years old. She was born in San Francisco del Oro, Chihuahua. Her parents were Zosimo Fierro and Maria del Refugio Perez. She married Hector Benito Peña, Sr. on May 12, 1958. They were happily married for 67 years.

Her children are Virginia Forcier (Mark), Hector B. Peña Jr. (Irma), Linda Hackler (John), Michael Pena, and Leah Calvert. Her grandchildren are Lauren Perry (Andrew), Valerie Caussey (Aaron), Melissa Martinez (Zachary), Ben Peña, Justin Peña, Riley Cole Durham, and Catherine Durham. Her great grandchildren are Hauk Caussey, Jordan Perry, Mya Caussey, Brooke Perry, Ezra Martinez, Micah Martinez, and Ryan Perry.

She enjoyed her role as a mother and would bake cakes and large meals in case family stopped by the house. She relished time spent with her grandchildren. Everyone knew that grandma was allowed to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing dresses and shirts for the family and watching them walk out of the door in her latest fashion. She would crochet blankets with loving hands and soft yarn.

Her deep passion for the Catholic faith inspired her to support my father as they led ministries with the Christian Community of God's Delight, Bishop Lynch High School, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Santa Clara Catholic Church, Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Prince of Peace Community School/Saint Michael Catholic School, Corpus Christy Catholic Church, and Saint Ann Catholic Church. Together, they helped lead the Hispanic ministries and sharing the faith with many families.

Services: The viewing and wake will be held at Hughes Funeral Home on January 27, 2026, from 4:00pm-7:30pm with the rosary at 6:00pm. The address is 400 E. Jefferson Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75203. Mass services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on January 28, 2026, at 10:00am. The address is 1111 W. Danieldale Rd., Duncanville, Texas 75137. The grave side service will be held at Holy Redeemer Cemetery on January 28, 2026, at 12:00pm. The address is 1500 S. Westmoreland Rd., DeSoto, Texas 75115.
