Maria Refugio Arredondo Obituary

Maria Del Refugio Arredondo, 71, a cherished mother, grandmother, and faithful follower of Christ, went home to be with her Lord on September 16, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on October 25, 1953, in Zacatecas, Mexico, she was the daughter of Cipriano Espino Dimas and Francisca Zacarias Martinez.
Maria lived a life of devotion-first to her Lord and Savior, and also to her family, whom she loved deeply. She was known for her steadfast faith, her prayers, and contagious laugh. Maria dedicated her time and heart to helping others. She was a guiding presence to her family and delighted in cooking and caring for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cipriano Espino Dimas and Francisca Zacarias Martinez; and her siblings, Socorro Espino Zacarias, Ma. Nieves Espino Zacarias, Amparo Espino Zacarias, and Cruz Antonio Espino Zacarias.
She is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Arredondo Jr.; her children, Gloria Y. Robbins (husband David), Veronica Rosalez, and Guadalupe Arredondo III (wife Erica); her treasured grandchildren, Brian, Cristina, Samantha, Hannah, Victoria, Valerie and Violet; and her two great grandchildren; and also her siblings, Felipe Espino Zacarias, and Ma. Del Consuelo Espino Zacarias. She will also be remembered with love by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A funeral service for Maria will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Northeast Apostolic Church, with an additional service on Tuesday, September 23, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honor Maria's life of devotion to God and her family
Maria's legacy of love, faith, and strength will continue to guide her family. Though she is no longer with us, we rejoice in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord.
