Maria "Minina" Bernice Rodriguez, 73, of Apopka, Florida, went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2025. Born on February 10, 1952, in Inza, Colombia, Maria immigrated to the United States in the 1980s, courageously beginning a new chapter that would shape the rest of her life.
Maria dedicated more than 20 years of service to the Walt Disney Company, where she was known for her kindness, work ethic, and warm spirit. Her gentle nature and unwavering love for her family defined her life.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Ricardo Rodriguez of Apopka, Florida; her loving daughter, Natalie, and son-in-law, Thomas A. Dotson of Apopka; and her cherished grandchildren, Melanie Bernice Rodriguez Dotson, Mila Anita Dotson, and Thomas Adam Dotson II, who brought immense joy to her heart. Her grandchildren were her proudest accomplishment, the lights of her life, and the source of her greatest happiness. Being a grandmother fulfilled her heart in ways words could scarcely capture, giving her life purpose, warmth, and immeasurable love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion-a legacy that will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew her and in the generations she lovingly nurtured. Her unwavering spirit will forever remain a guiding light for her family.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Maria's life will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:30 AM, at Highland Memorial Gardens in Apopka, Florida.
Maria will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, and the love she so freely gave. May she rest in eternal peace.
