Maria Del Carmen (Carmita) Sanchez-Coloma, age 80, of Elmsford, NY, passed away at her home on July 28th, 2025.
She was born on November 25th, 1944, in Havana, Cuba to her parents Maria Estilita Martin and Rafael Coloma.
Carmita was married to Dr. Andres Sanchez-Manjon. They spent nearly 60 years happily married together, raising their three children in their Elmsford home. She is survived by her devoted husband Andres, her three daughters Carmen, Marlene and Marisol, and their spouses, Ben, Mikey, Jesus. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Beni, Bella, Sofia, Elena, Antonio, Andy, her sister Mary and brother-in-law Hector and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Rafael.
Visitation will be held Thursday July 31st from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ballard-Durand Funeral and Cremation Services of Elmsford, 72 E Main St. Elmsford NY 10523.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday August 1st at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 59 E Main St. Elmsford NY 10523.
Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Ave. Hawthorne NY 10532.
The family requests donations be made to Rosary Hill or American Heart Association.
