Maria Sianez Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 29, 2019.
MARIA GUADALUPE ALDANA de SIAÑEZ was born in Parral, Chihuahua on the eighteenth of November, 1934 to Mauricia Alderete de Aldana and José Maria Aldana. She was the eldest of twelve siblings. When she was eighteen, she met her husband Pedro in Ciudad Juárez. They married in 1956 when she was twenty-two years old and he twenty-four. She worked as an elementary school teacher even though she only went to school through 6th grade. Maria was a dedicated daughter and caring sister to all her siblings.

Soon thereafter, Maria and her husband moved to El Paso, TX where they would start their family. Maria was a constant support to her husband, his work and his sports interests and took pride in raising her children. She also worked as a seamstress. In 1973, Maria and Pedro brought their family to Los Angeles, CA where their children would attend school, play baseball and football, and enjoy drive-in movies.

The family would eventually settle in Montebello, CA, where they have lived for the last thirty years. In the best years of Maria's vibrant and fulfilling life, she loved dancing, listening to their favorite music, knitting blankets for her grandchildren, watching her programas, and spending time with her family on Sundays.

Maria's resilience was made most evident when she fought and lived long after the doctors had anticipated she would. In times of sickness and distress, she often spoke to her mother Guichita, and found solace in her family's love and care. Maria will be whole-heartedly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her strength, tenacity, and courage live on through her beloved husband Pedro and six children, Avelina, Humberto, Rosario, Ricardo, Gregorio, and Hilda, her thirteen cherished grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
