Maria Alicia Sosa

With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of María Alicia Sosa, 69, of Houston, Texas, announces her passing on November 26, 2025. María Alicia was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished sister, aunt, and friend to many.

Born on December 6, 1955, she was known for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and incredible sense of humor. She had a natural gift for making others feel welcomed and cared for, and she touched the lives of everyone she met. María Alicia loved cooking for her family, spending time surrounded by those she loved, and creating memories that will live on forever. Her kindness, generosity, and ability to make friends wherever she went were among her greatest gifts.

She is survived by her loving children, Gracie Velazquez, John Lopez, & Jessica Sosa along with her adored grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many friends who will forever miss her.
