Maria Luisa Spadafora, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on October 4, 2012. She was 101. Mrs. Spadafora was born on April 21, 1911 in Rogliano, Italy to the late Francesco and Christina (Altimare) Dodaro. For many years before her retirement she worked as a seamstress. She is survived by her daughter, Ada Greco and her husband Luigi; her son, Francesco Spadafora and his wife Giovanna; her son-in-law, Vincenzo Damiani; her grandchildren, Juliana Battista and her husband Anthony, Luciano Greco and his wife Jeanette, Carmen Hacker and her husband Scott, Salvatore Damiani, Luisa Seacord and her husband Phil, Maria Mandino and her husband Michael, Elena Spadafora, and Ernesto Spadafora and his wife Antonella; her great-grandchildren, Daniella and Vanessa Battista, Marisa and Anthony Hacker, Joseph and Vincent Seacord, and Jazmin Gonzalez; her niece, Teresa Mazzei; and her nephews, Dominic and Maurizio Mazzei. She is pre-deceased by her husband Ernesto, whom she married in 1927, and her daughter Grazia Damiani. Visiting will be Monday 2-5 & 7-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 9:45am at St. Clare's Church, 1081 Rhinelander Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Saint Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx.
