Mercedes- Maria Josefina Villanueva, 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at her residence in Mercedes, Texas.
Mrs. Villanueva was born on January 11, 1942 to Mr. Manuel Beltran and Mrs. Luisa Gonzales Beltran in Odem, Texas.
Mrs. Villanueva is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Manuel Beltran and Mrs. Luisa Gonzales Beltran and her brother, Joe Beltran.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Daniel Villanueva Sr.; her sons, Daniel (Blanca E.) Villanueva, Juan Villanueva; her daughters, Celia (Agustin Vallejo) Villanueva, Jesusita (Arstolfo Rios) Villanueva, Alma Leticia Villanueva; her brothers, Roberto Beltran, Eloy Beltran; her sisters, Chayo Beltran and Evangelina Lopez; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation for Mrs. Villanueva is scheduled for Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 10:00 am at Salinas Funeral Home -Chapel of the Heavens. Interment will follow at Mercedes Memorial Restlawn.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
