Maria Angelita Villarreal, 90 of Raymondville, TX went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2026, at Sun Valley Healthcare Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 2, 1935 in San Isidro, Texas to Juan Lopez and Carlota Alvardo Lopez who precede her in death along with her husband, Guillermo Villarreal; her siblings, Ernestina Garcia, Juan Lopez and Salvador Lopez.

She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Raymondville where she served as an extra ordinary minister at Saturday mass. She worked at the San Isidro school cafeteria before relocating to Raymondville, she continued to cook and bake. She loved baking pan de polvo and making delicious tamales. She also worked as a trusted home care professional to several special families in her life.

Maria Angelita is survived by her daughters, Mary (Rick) Gonzalez, Hermelinda V. Robles. grandchildren: Marcos David (Mariah) Robles, Liana Mia Gonzalez, one great-grandson Santiago Robles, brother in-law, Ramiro Villarreal, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Sun Valley Healthcare Center in Harlingen for the outstanding care.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Duddlesten Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 693 N. Third, Raymondville, Texas. This will conclude all services.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas.
