She graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Transylvania, a testament to her dedication and hard work. Alongside her husband, James Andrew "Andy" Woods, she flourished as a successful entrepreneur. Together, they shared a remarkable journey of love and adventure, traveling the globe and forming cherished friendships wherever they went.
Melania was not only known for her professional accomplishments but also for her generous personality. She had a huge heart and was a beautiful person, both inside and out. Her warmth and kindness made her a friend to all, and she made friends all over the world.
Mel is survived by her loving husband, Andy; her son, James Louis "Lou" Woods; her parents, Marian and Eugenia Plapana Badila; her brother, Fabian Badila, along with his wife, Alexandra; and her cherished nephews, Stephan Badila and Mihail Badila.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Melania's life during a visitation at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi on Monday, February 2, 2026, starting at 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Melania's legacy of love and friendship will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
