Mrs. Arlys Johnson Brown, age 94, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at Cooperwood Senior Living in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS from 1:00 to 2:00pm, followed by the service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm. The burial will be at Lakeland Place Memorial Park on Lakeland Drive.
Born February 15, 1931 in Foley, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Henry and Hazel Johnson.
Arlys graduated from West Seattle High School and attended Oakland Jr. College. On July 17, 1954, she married Will Moore Brown and together they shared 51 years of marriage. After completing his military enlistment in the US Navy, they moved to Memphis, TN for him to attend dental school. They later moved to Brandon, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dr. Will M.Brown, sister Anne Duval, and brother Arnold Johnson, Jr.
Arlys enjoyed playing golf and bridge. She was a member of Meh Lady’s Club for many years. She was a member of the Brandon Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her three children: son, Scott Brown (Tammy), daughter, Pam Grayson (Don), and daughter, Pat Hunt, seven grandchildren: Brett Brown, Josh Brown, Will Grayson (Lane), Clay Grayson (Stefanie), Zach Grayson (Serena), Whitney McMillen (Chad) and Marlee Stanley (Tyler) and seven great children: Emily Grayson, Aubree Grayson, Kimbrell Grayson, Bennett Grayson, Carter Grayson, Warner Stanley, and Baker Stanley.
The family would like thank the staff at Cooperwood Senior Living, Traditions Hospice, and Best Care 4U HomeCare for their loving care.
