Born in Jamaica, Queens raised in St. Albans & Elmont, NY. Marian married Frank Inserra in 1968 and they moved to Dix Hills, NY where they raised their two daughters. The happy couple retired in Ocala, FL. Shortly after Marian's husband's death in 2008 she moved to Colorado to live with her daughter Tracy and family. Marian spent the last years of her life living with her daughter Kathy and family in Baldwin, NY.
Marian had a wonderful life and career as a nurse for 30 plus years in hospitals and public health clinics on Long Island. A caring & selfless individual her love of life and smile was infectious. Her humor brought smiles to all around her.
Marian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who relished in the successes of her family. An avid reader she loved to sing. She spread her love, wisdom and care with all around her.
Her love and spirit in life will live on with all she loved and who loved her. Marian is survived by her daughters Tracy Dewey, Kathy Kurz; Son-in-laws Mike Dewey & Kevin Kurz; Grandchildren Delaney, Maddie Shea, Dean and Frankie; Brother Larry Kalsch.
A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, September 14 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Fullerton Funeral Home in Baldwin, NY. A Mass will be held in her honor on Monday, September 15 at 9:45 am at St. Christopher's in Baldwin, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association or Coffin-Siris Syndrome Foundation.
