Marian Joyce Johnson was born on October 1, 1944, in McRoberts, Kentucky, to James A. Johnson and Fannie D. Johnson (Butler).
In the year of 1949, her family moved to Columbus, Ohio. Graduated from Whitehall Yearling High School, where she played volleyball, basketball, and sang in the girls' glee club. In 1969, she was blessed with a daughter. Marion worked as a nurse's assistant for Mercy Hospital, then transitioned to Mt. Carmel Home Health Care as a nurse's aide caring for patients, and traveled all over Franklin County and surrounding counties for 25 years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, decorating, traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Most of all, she enjoyed helping people.
Mother Marian Joyce Johnson, beloved Charter Member and Pillar of Unity Christian Fellowship for 20 years. She worked faithfully, serving in every capacity throughout the years. She sang in the youth and adult choirs, choir director, head usher, deaconess, mother's board, finances, provided pastoral care, which she took very seriously, planning church events, and so much more. Also, she participated in singing in mass choirs with Von Thomas and Mattie Moss, to name a few. Marian has a love for old church hymns; she will take you to church with a good old-fashioned hymn.
She had touched so many lives over the years in and outside of the church. Marian had some challenges; she continued to serve until she was unable to serve, but she continued to press her way to the house of the Lord. On September 15, 2025, she was no longer able to attend the services she loved so much.
She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Johnson Sr, mother, Fannie D. Johnson, two brothers, James A. Johnson II, William L. Johnson, two sisters, Sandra Johnson, Baby Girl Johnson, and grandmother, Ella O'Neal (Butler).

Croomes of Columbus, Ohio, great granddaughter Saige Johnson Isles of Columbus, Ohio, nephew James A. Johnson III of Richmond, VA, and a host of family, friends, and Unity Christian Fellowship Family.
