Debra Mae Gillespie

Debra Mae Gillespie, also known as "Deb," passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 55.

Debra was more than just a kind person; she was strong-willed and deeply passionate about the people she loved. Her family was the center of her world. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her; she loved them more than life itself. She was a proud and devoted mother to her children. Being their mom was one of the greatest roles of her life, and she carried it with strength, honesty, and unconditional love.

Debra is survived by her children, Derrick Blakeley (Jesseca), Kayla Blakeley (Rogelio), and Kristen Blakeley.

Her greatest joy in life was being a mamaw. She adored her grandchildren: Miguel Blakeley, Payton Blakeley, Kaicyn Blakeley, and Shaelynn Blakeley. They brought immense happiness to her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

She is also survived by her brothers, Darold Blakeley (Tina) and Daniel Martin (Alyssa), and her sister, Deanna Holley.

Debra is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Carol Holley; her daughter, Michelle Gillespie; her brother, Donald Blakeley (Tina); and her nephew, Dillon Blakeley.

She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory always.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the O. R. Woodyard Co. South Chapel, 1346 South High Street. Pastor Tim Womack will be officiating. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery.
