Matthew Bryant "Matt" Messer, 34, passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 12, 1991 in Columbus, OH to Bryant and Tina Messer.

Matt was a devoted husband to his wife, Kaitlyn Messer, and a proud father to his five children, Colton, Carson, Cason, Kennedy, and Creed. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in being a husband and dad. Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde "Jr." and Betty Messer, and Sharon and Jim Archer; uncle Jeff; and aunts Nett and Angie. He is survived by his loving wife and children; his parents, Bryant and Tina Messer; his brothers, Mikey and Nathan Messer; and his sister, Shelby (Jerred) Tinnes. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew, Kyleigh, Lilly, Axle, and Cheyenne. Grandfather Les (Brenda) Mullins. Aunts and uncles; Kevin (Helena) Mullins, Ruby Jo Messer, Robin (Basil) Archer- Hopper. Mother in law Rhonda Ramey. Matt shared a special bond with many cousins who were more like siblings to him growing up: Shane, Dani, Lou, Ashley, Nea, Adam, Brandon, Brett, Cameron, Mark, and Sam. He will also be deeply missed by countless other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him.

Matt was known for his love of drag racing and spending time working on his Mustang. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the garage or at the track alongside his dad and uncle Jamie or his best friend Patrick. He also loved deer & coyote hunting with his uncle Kevin, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and dirt bikes. Matt was the kind of person who would always lend a hand to someone in need and if the situation called for it, he wasn't afraid to stand up and throw a punch to defend those he cared about.

Matt will be remembered for his loyalty, his love for family, and the many memories he created with those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
