Marian Kellerman Obituary

Marian Rappich Kellerman

June 5, 2025

Arlington, Texas - Marian Rappich Kellerman, 71, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, following a two-decade battle with a brain tumor.

Marian was born July 28, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas to Dominic and Maggie Rappich. She was the youngest of three sisters and graduated from Arlington Heights High School. She married Scott Kellerman in 1977 and became a devoted mother to sons Austin and Christopher. As they advanced in school, she began a career with Arlington ISD working in the attendance offices at Lamar High School and Larson Elementary. Throughout her career, she was the first smiling face students would see when starting their school days.

She loved family road trips, concerts, pool time, a good patriotic parade, Bob Barker on the Price is Right, and collecting giveaways from Rangers games. She was a passionate volunteer and supported a number of organizations including Arlington Woman's Club, Arlington Women's Shelter, American Heart Association, SafeHaven of Tarrant County, and Del Camino Jesuit Border Ministries.

Marian spent some of her favorite days as "Grandma." Whether it was Dollar Store hauls or McDonald's & a movie, she loved spending time with her granddaughter, Kat. According to Kat, Grandma made the best lasagna in the world.

Marian was a devout Catholic and member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Arlington, Texas. One of her proudest moments was when her youngest son, Christopher, was ordained to the priesthood in 2021. Fr. Christopher, Scott, and Austin celebrated Mass with Marian at her bedside just minutes before she quietly and peacefully fell asleep into eternal life with Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Scott; son, Austin (Laura) Kellerman; son Fr. Christopher Kellerman; granddaughter, Katherine; and sister, Therese. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Donna Carr.

Visitation at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m, Tues, June 10, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 N. Davis Drive, Arlington.

Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m. Wed, June 11, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
