Mrs. Marian Jean (Ruskell) "Rascal Ruskell" Olson

Marian Jean (Ruskell) Olson 92, of Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii died at home, surrounded by family, on Friday, July 20, 2021. She was born January 16, 1929 in Worthington, Minnesota. She moved to Hilo, Hawaii with her husband and two children in 1958, and has lived in Kailua since 1964. She was active with Kailua United Methodist Church and served as an officer with United Methodist Women. Marian was survived by recently deceased sister Doris Thoreson (Maynard, decd); children: James Olson (Kit Grant), Cheryl "Lizi" Olson (Keith Mense, decd), Steve Olson (Claire Swank), Eric Olson (Janice Olson), Pam Olson (Mike Denis), cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by: her parents, Fred and Laura (Kilpatrick) Ruskell; her beloved husband of 47 years, James Raymond Olson; firstborn, MaryBeth Olson; Siblings: Homer Ruskell (Betty), Helen Pigman (Lloyd), Bob Ruskell (Elsie), Harlan Ruskell (Dorothy), Warren Ruskell (Martha), Dorothy Miller (Bob) Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 16, 2022 Visitation 11:30 pm, Services 12 noon, followed by Light Refreshments to go.
