BEDFORD -- Ethel Carver Dillard went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. She passed away unexpectedly during a brief hospital stay. Service: 12:30 p.m. Monday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, Colleyville. Interment will immediately follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Ethel was born in Temple on Aug. 17, 1931, the daughter of Forrest Jackson "Jack" Carver Sr. and Sibyl Giles Carver. She was a retired insurance agent and agency owner. Ethel was a member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church, and most importantly a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her brother, Forrest Jackson Carver Jr. Survivors: Loving husband of 61 years, Walter Dillard; daughters, Lisa Dillard, and Vicki Dillard Carver and her husband, Wayne; and brother, Milton Carver. She was a wonderful "Granny" to granddaughters, Katie Carver Arnold and Hannah Dillard; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Daisy and Sophia. She is also survived by many adoring relatives and friends.
