Marian Doris Sayler

Marian Doris Sayler, age 89, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Vibrant Life Senior Living in Temperance, MI, under the care of Optimal Care Hospice. She was born on November 27, 1935 in Bridgewater Township, MI, the daughter of the late Herman Adolph and Ethel Mae (Russell) Guenther. She was joined in marriage with Richard Russell Sayler in Angola IN, on June 4, 1955, and they enjoyed over sixty-nine years together before his passing on January 13, 2025. Marian was employed for almost thirty years as a bookkeeper at Wacker Chemical Corporation in Adrian, MI, retiring in 1995.
Marian was a very active member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, and she especially enjoyed helping with the potluck dinners. At home she loved being involved with crafts and spending as much time as she could with her children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Marian is survived by her three sons, Richard A. (Judy) Sayler of Huntingdon, TN, Russell (Donna) Sayler of Oak Creek, WI, and Randall (Judy Comstock) Sayler of Tecumseh, MI; four grandchildren, Gabe Sayler, Derek, Sayler, Marisa Langford, and Gina Cornejo; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mia, Shelby, Abby Langford, and Kaylyn and Nixon Sayler, her sisters, Elizabeth (Don) Sutherland of Saline, MI, and Esther (Ralph) Gross of Saline, MI; and her sisters-in-law, Kay Guenther of Saline, MI, and Mildred Guenther of Manchester, MI.
In addition to her husband, Richard, Marian was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
At her request, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will take place at Brookside cemetery at 2:00 pm on Thursday November 13, 2025.
