Marian Giddens Sidbury of Wrightsville Beach, NC, aged 91, peacefully departed this world on August 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and unwavering faith. Born on December 10, 1933, in Ft Lauderdale, FL, Marian lived a life rich with the joys and responsibilities of family, motherhood, and community service.
A dedicated homemaker, Marian centered her life around nurturing her home. Her greatest joy and true passion were her children, Charles H. Sidbury III and Jane M. Sidbury, who carry forward her spirit of kindness and strength.
Marian was a simple woman whose heart was full of love for her family and faith in the Lord. Her deep connection to Wrightsville United Methodist Church, where she was a member for 38 years, enriched her life and those around her with her unwavering belief in the power of compassion and grace.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Brumby and Mattie Giddens, also by the love her life, Charles H. Sidbury II, her husband of 55 wonderful years. Her cherished son and daughter survive her along with many loving nieces and nephews. A heartfelt acknowledgment to Suzi Immordino for the depth of her care and friendship. Marian's presence and guidance through life's journey brought warmth and understanding to all who knew her.
Her life's work went beyond that of a homemaker-she was a master in creating a household filled with love. Each day, she set an example of integrity and humility, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services to honor Marian's remarkable life will be a private family graveside service with Wrightsville United Methodist Church, where her spirit will be lovingly remembered by all who gather in her memory.
