RAMSEUR – Marianna Nord Hagewood, 92, died Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Ramseur Health and Rehab Center.

She was born April 21, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late James Victor Nord and Effie Therese Nugent Nord. She graduated from Whitehall High School (Whitehall, Michigan) Class of 1951 and attended St. Louis University in Missouri. Before relocating to North Carolina, she resided in St. Petersburg, Florida. Marianna was the owner/operator of Venice Motel in St. Petersburg, Florida, for twenty-five years and worked with Raymond James and Associates for many years. After relocating to North Carolina, she became a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse B. Hagewood.

Marianna is survived by three children, Victoria Jean Buckles (Joe) of Ramseur, Jane Ann Chap (Randy) of Chillpothe, Ohio, and Jack Russell Hagewood (Margaret) of Hico, West Virginia; Six grandchildren, Kendall Powell (Tyler), Amity Chapman, Kimberly Logan (Dustin) Aaron Hagewood (Arinda), Jesse Hagewood and Tyler Hagewood and four great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service celebrating Marianna's life will be held at a later date at Ramseur Gospel Chapel. Burial will take place at Mayo Cemetery in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
