Marianna Rogacki Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Browning-Forshay Funeral Home - Hawthorne on Sep. 1, 2025.
Rogacki, Marianna (née Kowalczyk), age 91, of Hawthorne, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Born in Poland, Marianna immigrated to the United States in April 1966, settling in Prospect Park before making her home in Hawthorne 25 years ago. In Poland, she had devoted herself to caring for others as a nurse. Later, she worked as an assembly line worker at Filmco Industries in Paterson.

Marianna was a devoted parishioner of St. Stephen's R.C. Church in Paterson. She found joy in life's simple pleasures-gardening, knitting, and word searches. Marianna will be remembered for her lively spirit and the kindness she shared with others.

Marianna was the beloved wife of the late Józef Rogacki (1993). She was the loving mother of Janina Sapinski and her late husband Stanislaw of Pompton Plains, Wieslawa Kufel and her husband Mieczyslaw of Garfield, Stanislawa Rynkiewicz and her husband Marian of Hawthorne, and Henry Rogacki of North Haledon. She was predeceased by her children George Rogacki (survived by his wife Julia), Krystyna Rogacki, and Urszula Gizinski and her husband Grzegorz.

She will be remembered by her grandchildren: Dorothy Cataldo and her husband Dominic, Michael Rogacki and his wife Dianne, Barbara Cook and her husband Scott, Suzanne Baumann and her husband Emil, George Rogacki and his wife Jillian, Diana Scanlon and her husband Bryan, and Joseph Rynkiewicz. She was predeceased by her grandson Gregory Gizinski. Marianna was also the proud great-grandmother of: Dominic, Adrianna, Zophia, Sarah, Stephen, Krista, Shanna, Corey, Fiona, and Lyla.

Funeral will depart at 9:30am on Friday, September 5, 2025, from the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne, for a 10:00am funeral Mass at St. Stephen's R.C. Church in Paterson. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, September 4, from 4:00–8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made to the Paramus Veterans Memorial Home, honoring Marianna's spirit of care and compassion.
