Marianne (Pagel) Caiaze, 85, of Southington, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Amberwoods in Farmington.

Marianne was born on October 13, 1940 in the Bronx to the late Kurt and Stella (Pac) Pagel. She graduated from New Britain High School, Class of 1958. In her younger years, Marianne was very athletic, participating in swimming, tennis, archery and skating. She also enjoyed playing the piano and embroidery. Marianne worked as the office manager at Northeast Carbide for over 40 years, where she made many lasting friendships, especially with the late Ralph Parloto, who was always there for her. She loved animals, shopping and was very charitable.

She is survived by two sons, Edward R. Caiaze Jr. and his wife Kelly of Farmington and Michael Caiaze and his wife Lori of Southington, four grandchildren, Audrey Corvino (Christopher), William Caiaze (Melanie), Samantha Donovan (Alex) and Nicolas Caiaze (Kayla Allaire) and three cherished great-grandchildren, Grayson, Madison and Charlie. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Pagel and his wife Karen of Enfield and one nephew, Eric Pagel and his wife Jacqueline of East Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marianne’s memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society (https://cthumane.org/) or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org).
