Marianne Elizabeth Merriman

Marianne Elizabeth Merriman, 90, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away at her home on March 2, 2026. She was a deeply cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Above all, she loved and cherished her family!

She was a single mother of five, a cum laude college graduate and held a 30-year tenure as a certified financial planner. She loved her work almost as much as she truly loved her clients. Upon retirement she resumed her much loved hobby of creating art. This culminated in a gallery show in October of 2024 where over 100 of her nearest and dearest were in attendance.

Eclectic and grand, beautiful and classy, always with colorful glasses and a tube of lipstick in her hand. And for those that were lucky, one was always left with, "May today be the best first day of the rest of your life." She will be ever so deeply missed!.

Marianne is survived by her daughter, Joanie Merriman, her son Gregory Merriman, her son Stephen Merriman (her daughter-in-law Kimberly Merriman), and her son Phillip Merriman. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Catherine Cosby.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 8th

Doors open at 5:40

The celebration program starts at 6:00 and goes until 9pm or whenever the last guest leaves.

Buffet starts at 7pm or when comments are completed.
