MUNSEY, Marianne Age 81, died peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. Born in Boston, daughter of the late Bronislaus and Genevieve (Pawlowski) Munsey, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Monsignor Ryan High School. She furthered her education at Northeastern University, earning her bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in public administration. Marianne started her almost 30-year career at the Department of Navy, before transferring to the United States Department of Defense in Boston. She rose from clerk to Director of Contract Operations, achieving the most senior civilian designation, and retired in 2000. In her personal time, Marianne loved to garden, and her yard was full of flowers and vegetables that she tended to daily. She took loving care of her own cats and of the stray cats in her neighborhood. She also was known for her delicious pickles and many vegetables that she shared with lots of friends and family, delivering big boxes of them all summer. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling in leagues at Westgate Lanes in Brockton. Her most cherished times were spent with her family, friends, neighbors and cats. Marianne was the sister of the late Paul E. Munsey and is survived by his wife Barbara Munsey of Duxbury. She was the loving "WAM" of nephew, Michael C. Munsey and his wife, Beth Molnar, of Milton; and the devoted "GWAM" of their son, Jordan P. Munsey. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), STOUGHTON, on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 9-11 AM, followed by Funeral Prayers at 11 AM.
