Marianne (Kovago) St. Pierre, 78, of Mashpee, passed away on August 7, 2025, at Cape Cod Hospital. She was born August 29, 1946, in Budapest, Hungary to the late Magdalena (Susztar) Kovago and Agoston Kovago. Marianne is survived by her husband Edward St. Pierre of Mashpee, her brother, Agoston Kovago and his wife Christine of Shrewsbury, her son, Robert Lakatos and his wife Heather of Mashpee, and her stepchildren, Peter St. Pierre and his partner Suzanne Porter of Shrewsbury, Michael St. Pierre and his wife Joanne of Auburn, and Nicole St. Pierre Bielski and her husband Kenneth Bielski of Mashpee, her 8 grandchildren Camron, Annika, Gavin, Matthew, Elizabeth, Katherine, Bryna, and Trystan, and her cousins Francis and Ildi Kovago of Worcester.

Marianne and her family escaped from Hungary during the Revolution in 1956. Her family settled in Whitinsville, MA. She graduated from Worcester State University with a Master of Education. For over 30 years she was a teacher in the Webster School system, retiring in 2002 as the head of the foreign language department. During her retirement, she continued her love for teaching as a substitute teacher at Mashpee Middle High School. She enjoyed beginning her day by drinking from her mug that read ""Teacher life is the best life.""

Outside of work Marianne enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren, golfing, boating, going to the beach, tennis, knitting, and spending winters in Naples, Florida alongside her husband. Travel was one of Marianne's great joys, and returning to her homeland of Hungary was always the highlight. She took great pride in her heritage and remained fluent in her native language throughout her life.

Marianne was blessed to share 42 beautiful years of marriage with Ed, her partner and best friend- building a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 11:00AM at Christ the King Parish, 5 Job's Fishing Road, Mashpee, MA.
