Marie Bartlett

Lillian Marie Lemmond Bartlett, age 89 of Eva, Alabama went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. She was at her home in Eva surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.

Marie was a long time member of Somerville Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. She also loved sewing, quilting, and gardening.

She was born October 4, 1936, in Morgan County, Alabama to the late Laura and Marvin Lemmond. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Lewis Bartlett, and her sister, Flora Goodwin.. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Blankenship, 2 sons, Jimmy Blankenship and Danny Bartlett, and a grandson Michael Lane.

Marie is survived by her sister, Lorene Oden, 5 daughters, Diane Ragsdale, Suzy Gay, Bobbie Bartlett, Lisa Beaver(Avery), and Mary Marbut (Neil). She is also survived by her grandchildren Michelle Towry (Tim), Michael Beaver (Shandel), Tracy Avant (Scott), Christy Taylor, Sandra Parlier, Holly Rodell (Wil), and Abby Cooper (Payton). In addition, she also leaves behind 11 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a very loved cat, Tiger.

Visitation will be held at Somerville Baptist Church on Saturday, February 7 from 12 to 2 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery.
