Marie Rose Beattie, of Harrison, passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 63. She was born on April 4, 1961, in Detroit MI to Donald and Lorraine (nee Saad) Szynkowski. The stars aligned and Marie met Timothy Beattie at a park, while she was there with friends. They met up later and started dating. Marie and Tim were married on February 16, 1980, and together they were blessed with 4 children: Timothy Jr., Danielle, Shawn and Faye. Marie was always there for her kids. Whenever the family needed extra money, she would work part time at local stores to help out. She LOVED her dogs... some would say her dogs ranked higher than her children and equal to her grandchildren. Marie had a musical soul and loved the Monkeys, Janice Joplin and the Rolling Stones. She also enjoyed reading Dean R. Koontz and Stephen King Novels.
Marie's memory will live on with her beloved husband of almost 45 years Timothy Beattie Sr.; dear mom: Lorraine (nee Saad) Szynkowski; loving children: Timothy Beattie Jr., Danielle Lawson, Shawn (Felis) Sabatine, and Faye Beattie; cherished grandchildren that she loved to spend time with: Sapphire, Taylor, Cacie, Brandon, Justin, Sean & Jeremiah; one great grandchild that is due soon that she was looking forward to spoiling; siblings: Laura Szynkowski Kolesky and Joseph (Joan) Szynkowski; numerous in-laws on the Beattie side and many nieces and nephews. Last, but not least, is her dog Molly, who will miss Marie dearly.
Marie was preceded in death by her father: Donald Szynkowski.
Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, Ohio, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 1 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 2:30 pm.
Memorials may be made to PAWS of Dearborn County or any Animal Shelter in her memory.
