Dianne J. Dohn, of Sunman, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 78. Dianne was born on October 21, 1947, in Batesville, Indiana to Bert and Elner (nee Storey) Slaughter. She was a devoted mom to Diedre, Brett and Susan.
Dianne spent many years working as a server and cashier, not just to earn a living, but because she genuinely enjoyed connecting with people. She had a special relationship with her coffee and cigarettes, often ignoring the advice of those who urged her to quit smoking. A true bargain hunter, Dianne was known for her love of the Home Shopping Network, where she found joy in every "good deal." She also cherished the company of her feline friend, Callie, who brought her comfort and companionship.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Susan Seal and parents: Bert and Elner Slaughter.
Those left to divide her Home Shopping network deals are her children: Deidre Eagle and Brett (Pam) Dohn; cherished grandchildren: Alysia (Chris Beach) Slaughter, Kirstie Goodall, Ashley (Joe) Lucas, John Collins, Layne & Sam Dohn and Zoe & Lydia Cothran and many great grandchildren.
In honor of Dianne's wishes, the family has chosen to forgo traditional services. However, they invite all who knew and loved her to celebrate her life in their own way. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to PAWS of Dearborn County to assist in finding a loving home for Callie.
