Publish in a newspaper

Danny Dohn, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 10, 2025.
A proud attendant of Valley High School, Danny went on to graduate from Millersburg Military Institute in 1965. A talented athlete, Danny led very successful track and football high school tenures, earning admiration and respect from his colleagues. He furthered his education at Morehead State University and Western Kentucky University, where he completed his master's in Social Studies and Guidance Counseling.
In 2007, Danny was inducted into the Metro Area Athletic Directors' Hall of Fame.
Danny spent his career teaching history and coaching football at Doss High School and Southern High School before serving as a guidance counselor at Ballard High School during his final 13 working years. He was passionate about education, mentoring, and supporting young people-his work left a lasting impact on countless students. Outside of school, Danny loved hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family, especially his adored grandchildren. He was known for his selflessness, honesty, hard work, and compassion-qualities that defined every part of his life.
Danny along with his wife Marsha have been members of Southeast Christian Church since 1992.
Danny was preceded by his father: Charles Dohn; his mother, Mary Marshall, and his brothers, Charles Dohn, Jr. and Glenn Urban Dohn. Danny leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 61 years, Marsha Dohn; his daughter: Dana Forrest (Chris) of Auburn, Indiana; his grandchildren: Wendy Forrest (Jeffrey Haus) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jared Forrest of Auburn, Indiana, and Nathan Forrest of Auburn, Indiana; his siblings: Susan Cook (Jim) of Conover, North Carolina and John Andrew Dohn (Linda) of Skiatook, Oklahoma; his beloved four-legged companion, his dog, Sophie, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends who will all miss him dearly.
Danny will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted dad, proud grandfather, and loyal friend who made every life he touched brighter.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm – 3:00pm, on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY) with funeral service to begin at 3:00pm.

So sorry to hear about Coach Dohn. Great coach and teacher. I was fortunate enough to have played for Coach Dohn and the first winning season at Doss High School in 1973.
