Marie Britting Obituary
Yesterday morning in Casper, Wyoming my beloved sister, Marie, passed away. I am boarding a flight in a few hours. There is an awful lot to deal with. I am planning a memorial service in Hamburg, NY, as well as interment close to our beloved sister, Sharon. Marie was battling cancer, and things seemed to be going well. Her health took a very sharp turn for the worse. It might give us all some comfort to know that she was surrounded by a cadre of nurses at the end. The heroes who wear scrubs were in many ways like a second family. She was a member of that exclusive club. We are broken now, but we will heal. Her art goes on, her memory, indelible in the hearts of those who know her.

Marie, I´m so fortunate to have spent that week in February 2023 at your house in Thermopolis. We ate Chinese food and cooked steaks and watched old movies and got snowed in!!! I wasn´t to know until later that year that it would be our last time together. I still celebrate your birthday and mine, as we were both born in 1950, a month apart. This year is a big one-75 years. I wish we could share a big hunk of cake and sing to each other. I´ll love you always as the sister I always wanted. You are missed.
