Obituary of Francis Edward Britting Jr.
Francis Edward Britting Jr., 78, of Columbia, SC, passed peacefully at home on December 7, 2023.
Frank was born on October 3, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio. Frank grew up with his two younger brothers Keith and Gilbert in Cleveland. After serving in the U.S. Army, Frank graduated from The Ohio State University and was a proud Buckeyes fan and alumni.
Frank met and married the love of his life, Susan Mitchum Britting, and they settled in Columbia, SC. They went on to raise two sons, Francis Edward Britting, III and Kevin Patrick Britting. The lights of his life were his sons and two granddaughters, Sophia Frances Britting and Elizabeth Abigail Britting.
Frank is survived by his sons, Francis Edward Britting, III (Frank) and his two daughters, Sophia and Elizabeth (Columbia, SC), and Kevin Patrick Britting and his wife Kinsey (Highlands Ranch, CO), his brothers, Keith Britting (OH) and Gilbert Britting (OH) and many other loving family members and friends.
A service will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home followed by a burial of his cremated remains at Ft. Jackson Cemetery.
