Marie Therese Damas

Marie Therese (Lifleur) Damas, of Richboro, PA, passed away on October 13, 2025. Born on February 8, 1938 in Port Salut, Haiti as one of four children born to the late Mathis and Theda (Milard) Lifleur. She devoted her life to the Lord at an early age.

Marie immigrated to the United States in 1963 and resided in Philadelphia, PA to be closer to her sister Louise Owens and family. She married Sully Damas in 1969 and raised two children, Jourdain and Michele, over the course of their 34 years of matrimony until his death in 2003. She enjoyed spending time with her entire family and showed her love by cooking and feeding anyone she could. Mom consistently donated what we would consider 'disposable income' to those in need in Haiti, even to her very last day. Her motto and reminder to all was to #feedthepoor because 'hunger hurts'. She also enjoyed sharing her handmade embroidery with friends and family. Her love for Christ and Christian music was immediately evident upon entering her home.

Marie is preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Lifleur and sister, Louise Owens. She is survived by her brother, Roger Lifleur and his wife, Lelene, Her children, Jourdain Damas and his wife Tammi, and Michele (Damas) Smith and her husband James; her grandchildren, Jourdain, Justin, Rachel, Millie, Avery, Trinity and Xavier; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing in celebration of Marie's life on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940, followed by her Funeral Mass promptly starting at 11:00 a.m. Her interment will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Fernwood Cemetery, 6501 E. Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050.
