Marie Louise Gray, 72 of North East, MD, died Monday, March 2, 2026, at her home in North East, MD.
Born in Havre De Grace, MD, on July 2, 1953, she was the daughter of The Late Fornie and The Late Mildred Thomas of North East, MD.
Marie graduated from high school in 1972 and attended Cecil College. She enjoyed taking a wide range of classes through the years.
She began working at 14 as a full-time babysitter during the summer. That fall, she moved to Florida with her family. During the summers before graduation, she always returned to Maryland. During her teen years, she always held a part-time job. Marie went to work for the school system in 1984 and retired after thirty years.
Marie loved spending time in Florida. She also enjoyed caring for her chickens, growing vegetables, and helping to support her family with her love through hard work and skills.
She was a member of Shelemiah Methodist Church. She served God, others, and her church in a wide variety of activities, from cooking turkeys, teaching Sunday School and participating on the administrative board.
She leaves behind her husband, Kenneth Gray, of 49 years. Marie is survived by her children, Ethan Gray, Eva Gray, her very special daughter-in-law, Kassi Kilduff Gray, and grandchildren Felix Callahan, Dorian Callahan, and Killian Gray.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. with funeral services starting thereafter.
