Marie Haworth, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, in Quartz Hill, California.
Born in Highland Park, Michigan, Marie brought warmth, strength, and grace to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She dedicated her life to her family and to those she served throughout her remarkable life.
Marie was the devoted wife of Jim Haworth. Together for 64 years, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and unwavering support. She was a loving and proud mother to daughter Kim, and to her son Randy and his wife Shelly. Her heart expanded with the joy of two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored deeply. Her family was her greatest pride and a reflection of the values she held dear-kindness, perseverance, and integrity. Later in life, Marie found special joy in spending time with her grand-nephews, Zack and Alex. Their frequent summer and holiday visits brought her laughter and pleasure.
Professionally, Marie enjoyed a long and fulfilling career. She began as a Regional Manager with Koch Jewelry, where her natural leadership, impeccable style, and dedication to excellence made her a respected figure in the company. After leaving the jewelry business, Marie found purpose in a new path-working with the California State Child Daycare Food Program. There she taught daycare providers how to feed children nutritiously, helping shape healthy futures for countless young lives.
Beyond her professional life, Marie remained actively involved in her community. She was a proud and engaged member of the AV Republican Women's Club and the Newcomer's Club of the Antelope Valley. Her contributions to these organizations reflected her commitment to civic engagement, friendship, and fellowship. She was an accomplished bridge player and enjoyed her weekly bridge games with a close group of friends.
Those who knew Marie will remember her for her gracious spirit, quiet strength, and the comfort she offered through her presence. She lived her life with elegance and purpose, always ready with a warm smile, a listening ear, and wise counsel.
Marie leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and a legacy that will inspire generations to come.
A private family service will be held to honor and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Care Net Women's Resource Center in Lancaster, California-a cause close to Marie's heart.
Marie will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
