Elle est venue au monde le 18 février 1946 à Brésilienne, une localité de la commune de Bainet, Sud-Est, Haïti, de ses parents aimants, Massillon et Louisiana Gontrand.
La vie de Saintana a été un testament vivant des principes de la foi, de l'amour et de la famille. Sa dévotion inébranlable à ses croyances chrétiennes a servi de guide tout au long de sa vie, rayonnant de chaleur et de gentillesse pour tous ceux qui l'ont connue.
