Marie A. Macomber

Marie A. Macomber, of Raynham and formerly of Bridgewater, passed away on August 12, 2022. She was 94. Marie worked as an administrative assistant for the Department of Correction in Bridgewater for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and experienced extensive world travel. As an avid animal lover, there was a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her cat Spaz. Nicknamed "Iron Dukes", Marie will be remembered for her strong will, tough as nails personality and generous spirit. She will be deeply missed.
Devoted mother of William Macomber and his wife Deborah of Raynham, Keith Macomber and his late wife Joan of Westport, Suzanne Levy of Raynham and Craig Macomber and his wife Catherine of Braintree. Loving sister of the late Edward L. Belmore, Jr., and Anita Copeland. Cherished grandmother of Bryan, Jamie, Ryan, Carolyn-Marie, and Catherine-Sarah. Also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren.
Marie's family is especially grateful to the staff at Life Care Center of Raynham for the kind and compassionate care shown to her during her stay.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-7 PM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater on Wednesday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater.
