Marie "Mary" E. Ladner, born on July 17, 1946, in Kiln, Mississippi, passed away on June 17, 2025, in Kiln, Mississippi.
Mary dedicated 19 years of her life to the Janitorial department at NASA, where her work ethic and kindness touched the lives of many. Beyond her professional achievements, she embraced a vibrant and joyous life, filled with simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She loved music, engaging in word searches and puzzles, and relished spending time with her beloved grandbabies. Mary had a fondness for watching TV and could often be found joyfully chewing her tobacco, a testament to her down-to-earth spirit.
Mary was deeply loved by her family, who remember her not only for her nurturing heart but also for the generous way she opened her home to those in need. She is survived by her son, Wesley (Joe) Ladner Jr.; her godchild, Darlene Fowler; her brother, Charles Necaise Jr.; and her five grandchildren: Heather (Sabrina) Stanford, Michelle, Brandon, Brittany, and Cory. The joy of her life continued with ten great-grandchildren: Haddie, Callie, Ryan, Iziah, Keadan, Kaiden, Paisley, Brentley, Brayden, and Branton. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish her memory.
Mary's journey in life would not have been the same without the unwavering support of her friends and family. Special thanks are extended to Noel, Larry, Buster, and Darlene, for their constant presence and support during hard times. A heartfelt acknowledgment goes to her remarkable home health nurse, Courtney Howard, who offered care with such compassion. Darlene, Heather, Sabrina, and Cory, your love and assistance were invaluable; Mary held you all close to her heart.
Sadly, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley (Pete) Ladner Jr.; her parents, Charles and Addie Necaise; her son, Welton Ladner; and her brothers Loyce, Lollice, Luther, Ray, Luston, Frank, and Sonny, along with her sister, Charlene Moran. Their love lives on in the memories and stories shared by those who remain.
Mary will be honored with a visitation on June 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Pass Christian, Mississippi. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. The graveside service will be held at Rotten Bayou Cemetery after the funeral service. Celebration of Life will take place at the Kiln Community Center starting at 4:00 PM, following the graveside service.
