Marie Mazella

Marie Rose Mazella (nee Cerullo), age 76, of Great Kills, Staten Island, New York, passed on August 7, 2025, with her husband, Anthony (Tony) Mazella by her side. Marie was born in Brooklyn, New York to George and Concetta (nee Dimaso) Cerullo. She was raised in Canarsie and attended Samuel J. Tilden High School. Marie was employed as a Secretary at Bankers Trust for 26 years. Marie loved being around her family and friends. She was inseparable from her husband and love of her life, Tony. She enjoyed listening to music in her backyard while swimming in her pool or relaxing in her hot tub. She loved attending concerts and cherished going out weekly with her husband and friends. She especially enjoyed taking trips to the Caribbean and Atlantic City also with her husband and friends. She was always a source for laughter at any gathering and loved interacting with everyone. Marie met her love, Tony, on the Staten Island Ferry. They married in Cancun, Mexico in 1990. They have lived in Great Kills for the entirety of their marriage. Together, they enjoyed family, friends, travel and concerts. Friends may visit with the family at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals at 28 Eltingville Boulevard, Staten Island, New York on Sunday, August 10th, 2025 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 11th, 2025 at 11 am at the funeral home. Entombment will be at St. James Catholic Cemetery on Rt 9 and Ida Way, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095, (732) 634-0500. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. located at 28 Eltingville Blvd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge New Jersey
