Gregory Edmund Mazella

Gregory Edmund Mazella, age 72, of Skokie, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, John Mazella; his mother, Helen, née Waszelewski, Mazella; and his wife, Janet, née Phillips, Mazella. He is survived by his three children, Kim (Aaron) White of Crystal Lake, Christopher (Jessica) Mazella of Crystal Lake, and David (Leslie) Mazella of Arlington Heights; two sisters, Tanya (Bruce) Hansen of New Glarus, WI, and Audrey (Bill) Guidarelli of Skokie; one brother, Jeff Mazella of Niles, MI; and six grandchildren, Connor and Sydney White, Kailyn and Luke Mazella, and Max and Grayson Mazella. Greg was born August 15, 1950, in Chicago. He graduated from Von Steuben High School and DePaul University, both in Chicago. He worked in IT Infrastructure at CNA Insurance, in Chicago, for many years before retiring. Greg loved traveling the world, golfing, and watching the Chicago White Sox. He was a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He enjoyed dining out as well as gatherings with family and friends. Visitation, Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m., at St. Peter Church of Ss. Peter & Lambert Catholic Parish, 8100 Niles Center Rd., Skokie.
