Marie S. Moore

Marie S. Moore, age 52, of Mckeesport, PA departed this life on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Marie was born in Passaic, NJ on January 6, 1971. She was the beloved daughter of Starlene Moore and James "Shorty" Taylor.

Marie was preceeded in death by brother, Myron Moore, and grandparents, Freeman and Marie Moore.

Marie is survived by her mother, Starlene Moore, father, James "Shorty " Taylor, daughter, Precious Moore and son, Myron Moore, maternal Aunts Rozella Sayles and Pauline Moore, and three paternal sisters, and one paternal brother, as well a host of cousins, extended family and friends.

Marie attended Pittsburgh Job Corps where she obtained her high school diploma. Marie went on to obtain an Associate Degree in Accounting from Community College of Allegheny County, where she also played basketball.

Marie loved basketball; she was fun-loving and she loved to laugh.

Marie had a kind heart and was always willing to help others in need.

Marie was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (412-678-6177) on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow after the services at Grandview Cemetery in North Versailles, PA.
