Marie Irene Skinner Mosser

Marie Irene Skinner Mosser, 84, of Whipple, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ November, 26, 2025. She knew her Lord's courageous spirit that helped her battle through cancer and the testimony of living her life for the Lord and giving him the glory. She was born in Waterford, Ohio May 31,1941, a daughter of the late Earl and Bertha Skinner.

She was a graduate of Waterford High School. She was a fulltime stay at home mother during her children's childhood. Later in life, she worked at the Army Corps of Engineer as a sign maker and at the House of Wines.

She loved her community and helping others. She was a member of Fearing Fire Department as an EMT and firefighter. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Stanleyville Homemakers club.

She had many talents such as toll painting, stained glass, basket making, working puzzles, and spent countless hours making quilts and crocheting doilies. She loved spending time with her family.

On September 27, 1958, she married the late George G. Mosser. She is survived by her children: George Gale Mosser, Jr. (Diana) of Marietta, OH, Vicki Dye of Fayetteville, NC, Marvin Mosser (friend Debbie Wheeler) of Marietta, OH, and Angela Duff (Craig) of Marietta, OH.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and siblings, Leroy Skinner (Ruth), Ruth Hughes, Phillip Skinner (Cheyenne) and Douglas Skinner (Darla), sister-in-law, Judy Skinner; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Carol Fulton, Joy Dobbins, Clarence Skinner, Marian Moody, and Fred Skinner and her daughter in law, Debbie Mosser.

We would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for helping us during her final days. In accordance with her wishes there will be no memorial service at this time. A celebration of life will be scheduled later.
