Marie E. Protzman, 84, of Maryville, Missouri, passed from this life at her home, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, with family at her side.
Marie was born in Marshall, Missouri, on January 9, 1940, to Isiah McKinley "Kenneth" and Loma (McLaughlin) Cook, she had lived her entire adult life in the area.
She was a mother and much loved by her children. She liked crafting and antiquing and front porch sitting. She was of the Catholic faith. Her parents preceded her in death, as well as her husband, Donald Lee Protzman, Sr., in 1988, her infant daughter, LeAnn, her siblings, Adell Hutson, Zola Craig, Kenneth Cook, Jr., and brother-in-laws, George Craig, Charles Protzman, Jr., and son-in-law, Vincent Schieber.
She was a mother first and homemaker, and had also worked at Union Carbide, had her own rental business, was a seamstress and baby-sitter.
Her survivors include her children, Jeannie Schieber, Maryville, Donna (Larry) Cracraft, Albany, Missouri, Janet (Patrick) Browning, Maryville, Anna Lane, Maryville, Lori (Gerald) Miller, Albany, Missouri, Theresa (Mark) Rybolt, Burlington Junction, Missouri, Joy (Mark) Beattie, Barnard, Missouri, Donald (Lisa) Protzman, Jr., Maryville, Sandra (Bifford) Harden, Maryville, Keri (Brian) Stephenson, Maryville, 30 grandchildren, and many great- great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. Cremation will follow the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6:00 PM, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the funeral home. There will then be a Rosary recited at 6:00 PM, at the funeral home.
