Marie Francis Reese, age 93, resident of Broken Arrow, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 11, 2025, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on June 2, 1932, in Coweta, Oklahoma to parents Charle Arthur and Geneva Bell (Mullins) Higgins.
Marie was married to the love of her life James “Jim” Thomas Reese on December 25, 1952, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared 66 years of life and love together before Jim passed in 2019. She worked for Sun Oil Co for many years. She also worked in the decorating department for “Joslin’s” department store in Denver. She became a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church (now South BA Baptist) on April 30, 2006, and was baptized on August 10, 2006.
Marie is survived by her two nephews, Charles Wayne Higgins of Coweta, and George Allen Higgins of North Carolina, in addition to extended family members, many friends, and her church family.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Reese, her parents Chares and Geneva Higgins, her sister Margaret Lucille Wilder, and brother Charles Leo Higgins.
Services to honor Marie will be announced.
