Marie A. Scheiding

LEWISBURG — Marie A. Scheiding, 90, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at Maple Gardens in Eaton.

She was born on Sept. 16, 1933, in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Ervin Emanuel and Mina Alice (Izor) Kreitzer.

Marie was a 1951 graduate of Lewisburg-Union High School and retired after 30 years of dedicated service to Tri-County North Schools where she was the head of Food Services. She was a co-founder of the Lewisburg Young at Heart, member of the Preble County Council on Aging and member of Trinity Church of Lewisburg. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who loved helping others whether it was farming with her husband, cooking meals for the community or spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roland L. Scheiding in 2014; son Tim Wesley Scheiding in 1955; sister Margaret Crabtree and brothers, Don R. Kreitzer, Eugene E. Kreitzer and Dean A. Kreitzer.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Jeff and Cheryl Scheiding and Jerry Scheiding; sister Helen Allen; grandsons Jason (Caryn) Scheiding and Kevin (Marilyn) Scheiding; great-grandchildren Greysen, Evaleena, Raegen and Piersen; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service Monday, Jan. 22, at Trinity Church of Lewisburg, 511 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, with Pastor Gary Sollenberger officiating. Interment in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg.
