Marie Seitz Obituary

Born on July 21, 1930 in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite Foley Keller.
Marie worked for many years as a Nurse Practitioner in both New York and South Carolina. She lived in Summers County for 22 years and was a devout member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hinton. Marie was very active in Church fundraisers and events and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was a lovely lady and an absolute joy to be around. Marie particularly loved when her great grandchildren visited, enjoying every minute of the chaos that 8 small children would bring.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Frank John Seitz, Jr. and her son, Micheal Francis Seitz.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Jeanne Seitz-Goldenberg (Jay) of Hubbard Lake, MI and Patricia DiStefano (John) of Buck, WV; grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Megan, Zachary, Emma and Alex, and 8 great grandchildren. Additionally, she will be deeply missed by the many wonderful friends she made after moving to Michigan, who will always remember her for her spunky spirit and caring nature.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 3, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hinton, WV with Fr. Bao Nguyen, SVD. as celebrant. Friends may visit from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton on Monday. Interment will be at the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
The Men of St. Patrick and family will serve as pallbearers
