Marie Tassinari

Marie (Barbano) Tassinari of Arlington died on July 31st at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Silvio Peter Tassinari and dear daughter of the late Joseph and Madelaine (Vernaglia) Barbano. Marie was born in Bronx, NY and moved to Arlington as a young child. She graduated from Regis College and received a master's degree from Boston College.
Marie and her husband enjoyed spending time at their summer home in Cape Cod. They were also avid travelers having spent extensive time visiting many European countries.
Marie's generosity extended to service to her family and friends, her community, and her church. Marie loved to entertain. Every occasion, big or small was an opportunity for her to host a celebration.
Marie's love of her church and her leadership qualities were evident in all her church activities. She served as CCD director, as founder of the Senior Care Group, and creator of the "Living Stations" presentations that were given during the Easter season.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Monday, August 11, 2025 at St. Camillus Church in Arlington followed by interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington. Friends may visit with the family at the church prior to the funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Regis College, 235 Wellesley Street, Weston, MA 02493
