Marie Lucille Trembley was born in
Cloquet, Minnesota, to Robert and Helen (Bergman)
Anderson and was baptized on September 12, 1924. She was raised mostly in Duluth,
Minnesota, graduating as an honor student from Morgan Park High School on June 4,
1941.
Marie married Chester N. Trembley on October 17th that same year in Duluth.
During World War II, Marie worked as a crane operator in the steel yards in Duluth
while her husband served overseas, their daughter Penny arriving on December 20,
1942.
The young family moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1946 and later to Richland,
where son Chester was born on May 27, 1949. They finally settled in Moses Lake in
1950, where Chet and Marie lived for the rest of their lives.
Over the years, Marie worked at the Moses Lake Post Office and Washington Trust
Bank, and also fulfilled a lifelong calling by becoming a licensed practical nurse after
completing the Big Bend Community College nursing program in 1971. She provided
compassionate geriatric care at Columbia Basin Hospital until her retirement in 1988.
Marie was a member of the Lutheran church and was known for her creativity and
generosity. She loved sewing, crocheting, baking, scrapbooking, and preserving family
memories through carefully labeled photo albums. Her handmade quilts, crocheted
pieces, and baked goods were treasured by family and friends alike.
Above all, Marie cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother,
delighting in time spent with her growing family.
She is survived by her daughter, Penny C. Graham-Greer (Richard); grandchildren
Richard Graham (Christa), Robyn (Graham) Ramirez (Richard), and Richelle (Graham)
Hecker (Sheldon Milner); eleven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren;
four nephews, Danny, Lanny, Eric, and Neil; and her niece, Jackie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chester, siblings Lois Weidman,
Roy Anderson, and Arlie Mae Schetne, her son, Chester, and her nephew, Teddy
Weidman.
Her love lives on in every stitch sewn, every recipe shared, and every memory carefully
preserved.
